ABOUT PARAMOUNT PYRO FX, LLC

ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Paramount Pyro FX, LLC formerly Elite Pyrotechnics, LLC and Smith & Wilde Fireworks  began in 1981. Over the years, the company has evolved and seen changes mainly in partnerships. However, the main focus remains the same -- excellent customer service, high quality product and great displays. Paramount Pyro FX is an Idaho-based display fireworks (1.3G) company which is federally licensed by the BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives,) and the DOT, and carries a certificate of insurance from an A+15 rated insurance company. Paramount Pyro FX employees have been trained by Total Safety Consultants, specializing in Hazmat, CPR-First Aid, Defensive Driving, Corporate Risk Management and Corporate Safety Training.

Paramount's pyrotechnicians have a combined experience of over 30+ years. Founded in 1981 as Federal Fireworks, a full service fireworks display company, the company acquired new owners and changed name to Smith & Wilde Fireworks several years later. In 2003 Smith & Wilde became Elite Pyrotechnics and brought in a new partner. The company re-structured management and ownership and in 2010, Paramount Pyro FX evolved. The reasoning for beginning this business was to serve the fireworks needs of all who desired to be entertained. The company goal was very simple -- provide and present the finest fireworks entertainment available in Idaho at reasonable prices.

PYROTECHNIC INDUSTRY OUTLOOK

The fireworks industry has changed drastically over the last several years. New changes in safety rules, and government regulations are implemented all the time. The future of pyrotechnics remains unclear. Many fireworks companies have closed their doors, and some cities do not have, or have very limited budget for 4th of July fireworks displays. Economy has also played a major role and resulted in higher cost of manufacturing materials and cost of displays has thus increased. Importing from China also became increasingly difficult and domestic manufacture is very costly. Poor safety conditions have caused many fireworks accidents in China's manufacturing facilities every year. More deaths result in fireworks accidents, not only in the consumer section, but also during public displays. The pyrotechnics industry is greatly affected by these new developments, thus resulting in higher prices charged by display companies, and only time will tell the future of fireworks displays across the country.
